Google Play apps on GMS builds

A build licensed for Google Play can use the Play Store to install compatible apps. Check the sample’s Play Protect certification and try your sign-in workflow.

Choose the Android release your app needs

Several rugged tablets offer Android 12 with GMS as an alternative to their standard release. Test the app on the build you intend to order.

Built-in barcode scanning

An integrated scanner lets the operator capture a label with the device in hand. Check whether the scan engine is included or optional and try your own labels.

NFC for tags and badges

An NFC reader can read compatible tags and badges at close range. Bring a tag or badge from the job and check the value your app receives.

Which build should we test for Google Play?
Ask for the exact model and Android release with GMS specified in the quotation. Verify Play Protect certification on that sample before you enrol it.
Can we order an earlier Android release?
Android 12 with GMS is an option on RT-T81X, RT-T86X, RT-T87X, RT-T11X, and RT-T17X.
Which handheld combines barcode scanning and printing?
The PX-60 combines Android 12, 1D/2D barcode scanning and a built-in 58 mm thermal printer.
How do we check enrollment before rollout?
Android Enterprise supports fully managed company devices and work profiles. Test your intended enrollment method and app deployment on the exact Android build.
